At CIAC, we seek to empower our community and churches to serve their sojourner neighbors well through collaborative partnerships.
Church of the Ascension
In October 2021, Church of the Ascension opened the first CIAC satellite campus in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Ascension international ministry has served the immigrant and refugee population for years and now has launched a weekly legal clinic where Ascension volunteers direct clients to resources.
We hope to replicate this model with other churches who desire to welcome their neighbors and reach the nations.
Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh (BCAP)
BCAP is a local organization that supports the Bhutanese community with services such as ESL classes, food distribution and computer courses. CIAC strives to collaborate with BCAP to provide legal services to the Bhutanese community and to provide legal clinics.
The Extravagant Love Project
Denise Graves and Amy Volstad provide empowerment to women through God’s extravagant love through their non-profit. CIAC refers women to this group for mentoring, counseling and assistance with physical needs.
