A World of Many Languages
In our work at CIAC, we meet with people from over 100 countries around the world, each with its own language and dialect.
We offer free interpretation during our appointments to ensure our clients understand, in their own language, the complicated legal process of immigration. We believe our call to compassionate care mandates we ensure this service is available at no cost to the client.
Your donation to CIAC enables us to offer free interpreters including Bhutanese, Nepalese, Arabic, Dari and more – at a yearly cost of about $5,000.
Our Process
Free Intake
If you are a prospective client, you will meet with one of our knowledgeable and compassionate intake specialists by phone or in person.
They will work with you one-on-one to gather all of the necessary information and documentation that will allow our Attorney and Accredited Representatives to provide you with excellent legal care.
Consultation
After carefully reviewing your intake information for eligibility, one of our Accredited Representatives will meet with you to discuss what legal options are available at a formal consultation. You will also be provided with an upfront quote for your specific immigration needs during this meeting.
At the end of this meeting, you may choose to pursue other relief or hire CIAC.
Representation and Legal Fee
If you retain CIAC, we will work with you throughout the entire process to help you achieve your legal goals.
Legal fees are based on documentation of reported household size and income.

What is the legal process like?
- You will first complete an intake where all of your information is gathered.
- Following the intake, you may be scheduled for a consultation with CIAC legal staff to review your legal options.
- If you hire CIAC, we will complete the legal work and you will come back in to review/sign documentation.
How long does the process take?
We are generally able to schedule you for a consultation with a legal representative within 2-4 weeks of your inquiry.
If we determine you are eligible for services, we start on your case as soon as you hire us and sign a legal service agreement. We hope to submit documents for your case within a few weeks, but the timing is determined by the service type, the amount of documentation required, how soon we receive documentation from you, etc.
Processing times once an application is submitted to USCIS vary according to the type of application, but are generally very lengthy.
How do I make a legal appointment?
To make an appointment with our legal team, please call 412-532-6181 (you can also use this number on WhatsApp) or send us an email at intake@ciacpgh.org
Do you offer pro bono services?
At the present time, we do not offer pro bono services. Our fees are determined on a sliding scale based on documented household size/income and application type.
We will review all fees with you before you hire us as your legal representative.
