EXPERIENCE
Following the completion of her undergraduate degree, Chelsy pursued her Juris Doctorate at the West Virginia University College of Law with a deep conviction to to serve the underserved and to advocate against international injustice. After working for several years as a Title Attorney for a large law firm, Chelsy took several years off to raise her family and refocus her vision as well as God’s calling on her life.

In December of 2017, Chelsy began volunteering with the Christian Immigration Advocacy Center. For over a year, she pursued education and training by shadowing attorneys, conducting client intakes, and enrolling in legal immigration courses. During that time she learned a great deal about the complex legal immigration processes as well as the deep need for these services in the local refugee and immigrant communities.

In August of 2018 she pursued reinstatement in the Pennsylvania Bar and was formally re-admitted in March of 2019. During her inactive years from the bar, Chelsy raised her three children, worked as a freelance copy editor for a major medical billing company, and focused on her role as a foster parent.
